I love movies. Love them! And few projects allow me to scratch that creative itch like coming up with a Coming Soon trailer for the theatre.
The mandate was to convey the idea that Scotiabank – through their products and their sponsorship of Cineplex – brings you even closer to the movies and enhances your experience. Well you can't get any closer to the movies than being in them, so that's just what we did. We workshopped dozens of scenarios that we could hurl our protagonist into, but in the end time and budget barely allowed for these three.
While it certainly wasn't an arduous writing exercise, it was a creative challenge and a lesson in shepherding a vision through a committee process. One I will not soon forget.
